Zonal is the UK's number 1 supplier of hospitality Epos systems and has recently moved to new offices in the former Standard Life building at Tanfield, Edinburgh
Zonal contacted East Air Conditioning at the design stage of their new offices and worked in conjunction with them to design and install effective air conditioning for individual offices, Training Rooms and Board Room. Existing Server Room Air Conditioning units and back up Controller were also relocated from Forth Street to Tanfield.
We selected a Mitsubishi Electric City Multi system comprising of 2 outdoor units and 32 indoor units. Mitsubishis City Multi system is the world's first and only two-pipe, simultaneous cooling and heating, multi-zone HVAC solution.
Various factors were discussed when selecting the type of indoor units but the most important consideration was the units requiring fresh air recirculation. This requirement along with the high level ceilings meant the best option was a floor mounted unit. The interconnecting pipes could also be concealed under the floor producing a pleasingly aesthetic design. A ceiling cassette was installed in the tiled ceiling in the Board Room.
All units were fitted with a Mitsubishi Par 30 controller meaning each unit could be controlled individually. The board room cassette was also fitted with a PROCON IO infrared receiver meaning the room temperature could be controlled by a 3rd party. (Zonals own infrared controller)
The project was completed on budget and and to a very high standard. The client was very happy with the end product.
Zonal have also signed up to one of our planned preventative maintenance contracts where, on this occasion, there will be 4 visits per year ensuring running costs are kept to a minimum and emergency breakdowns are prevented.
